Kim Cattrall
Kim Victoria
Cattrall (born 21 August 1956) is an British and Canadian actress from Canada
and Britain. Her most well-known role is her role in Sex and the City's
Samantha Jones (1998-2004), which earned her five Emmy Awards as well as four
Golden Globe Award nominations. She also received the 2002 Golden Globe Award
for Best Supporting Artistress. The role was reprised in the films Sex and the
City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010). Cattrall made her debut in film in
Rosebud (1975) and was later seen in numerous television roles. In the 1980s,
she gained to fame through films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police
Academy (1984) and Hold-Up (1985). She has also appeared in City Limits (1985),
Big Trouble in Little China(86), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1888), Midnight
Crossing (1988) and The Return of the Musketeers (1989). She was a frequent
collaborator alongside director Bob Clark, appearing in four of his films:
Tribute (1980), Porky's (1981), Turk 182 (1985), and Baby Geniuses (1999).
Additional credits include The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990), Star Trek VI The
Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second (1992), Above Suspicion (95) and 15
Minutes (192001).
