Milena Govich

Milena Govich, who is a director, actor and musician, has directed many episodes on TV including Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI: Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012), and others. Also, she was the Co-EP/Producing director of Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently a part of two pilots in production. Milena was one of eight women who were selected by AFI's most prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Her short film and TV series proof of concept called Unspeakable featuring Laura Vandervoort and Jeff Kober has saw its World premiere at SXSW and won Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The film she made, Temporary (2017) was screened across the country. The film won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared on more than 100 television shows acting as an actress. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. She later became the only female detective on Law & Order (1990). She has also been featured or recurred on several other shows, including K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) as well as for the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has been in numerous movies that include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) starring alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015), starring alongside Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). The native of Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian in her high school, and then enrolled in her double major in singing and pre-med, with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma, and also being valedictorian of her graduation. In the following years, Milena utilised her ballet education to appear in a show on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
