Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow was born December 18 1979. She is best known for her role as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / the Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. Also, she appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and also played a minor part as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18th 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in amateur and professional theatre productions. Swallow graduated from the Stanton College Preparatory school in Jacksonville in 2001 with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies. She then went on to study for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 she made her movie debut in The Lucky Ones, a military-themed drama. She performed in the world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse, opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins' play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. (citation needed) She was the winner of the Falstaff Award in 2010 for the most outstanding female actor for the part of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, Swallow and Jac Huberman created a stage production titled Jac N Swallow. It was staged at Joe's Pub and the Laurie Beeckman Theater in New York. The show is about the hilarious mishaps and adventures of Swallow and Jac Huberman as they face very different challenges in their lives with various degrees of success.
