Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli-American performer and actress, was born on October 20, 1983 in Herzliya, Israel. After serving in the Israeli Defense Forces, she began her professional career. In 2003, she was a star in an Israeli film. It was her biggest break. In 2003, she was a part of two TV shows in Israel, and also dabbled in music making several tracks with the Israeli rapper Subliminal. Tal relocated New York in New York with her sister. She teamed up with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean on the song "Party to Damascus". American television also helped her make a name for herself, beginning with a regular role in the show Veronica Mars. She initially tried out for the role of lead, but the creator Rob Thomas created a new character for her. Tal eventually was offered regular roles in the short-lived CBS series. He was a part of two TV series in Israel before shifting to New York. Wyclef Jean recorded a track. Hebrew is her first language. Second place in the auditions for the role of Veronica Mars (2004). Her audition was initially unsuccessful and Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas liked her so much that he made the character that would play Meg Manning specifically for her. He was in The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jews. Her father is Turkish/Jewish and her mother is Polish/Jewish. She plays the role of Adrian Monk's daughter in the last episode.
