Alyson Le Hannigan

Alyson Lee Hannigan (born March 24 1974) is an American actor and TV presenter. Her most well-known work is her role as Willow Rosenberg in the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-2003), as Lily Aldrin in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother (2005-2014) for which she was awarded the People's Choice Award in 2009 as well as as Michelle Flaherty in the American Pie film series (1999-2012). Since 2016 Hannigan has hosted the television show Penn Teller & Teller: Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Hannigan appeared in 2018 as the voice of Claire Clancy on the Disney Junior animated series Fancy Nancy. Hannigan was born in Washington, D.C., as the only daughter of Emilie (Posner) Haas, who is a real estate agent, and Alan Hannigan, who is a Teamsters trucker. Her father is Irish and her mother is Jewish. At age four, Hannigan began appearing in commercials. When she was 11 Hannigan moved to Hollywood with her mother. While visiting Santa Barbara, her father was a casting agent. She auditioned. After graduating from high school, she enrolled at California State University, Northridge where she was part of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and received a psychology degree. Hannigan's initial film role was in My Stepmother Is an Alien, a science-fiction comedy released in 1988. One of her co-stars from the film was actor Seth Green, who later joined her in the regular lineup of Buffy as her on-screen boyfriend. In 1989, her debut regular part on a TV series was when she was cast in the short-lived ABC sitcom Free Spirit. Hannigan was a teenager when she took care of the children of Bob Saget, her How I Met Your Mother co-star. Hannigan was later selected to play Willow Rosenberg, Buffy Summers her best friend in the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer In 1997, she was awarded fame across the country. She also stayed with Bob Saget's children in How I Met Your Mum. Angel had her reprise her role in the role of Willow in a couple of episodes.
